HK Island Loop: Parkview Heights - Stanley - Twins - Parkview Heights

Description: This hike officially begins and ends at the SINOPEC gas station at 145 Wong Nai Chung Gap Rd · Tai Tam. We'll all meet at the SINOPEC gas station and then make our way to the start of the loop: Parkview Heights > Stanley Water Catchment > Twins Water Catchment > Parkview Heights. The first part of this hike meanders through the Tai Tam Reservoirs. The trail continues along the Stanley Water Catchment and eventually merges with the Twins Water Catchment until reconnecting at Parkview Heights.

Important: There is a section (about 1.5 km) of this hike that DOES NO CONNECT; therefore, it is necessary to walk on the street using extreme caution.

Some highlights: This hike has many beautiful views of the reservoirs, stone bridges, mountains, beaches, sea, and koi fish.

What to bring:

• 4 liters of water
• Snacks to eat a quick snack along the way (sandwich, fruits, nuts, etc)
• Hiking shoes with good support
• Sunglasses
• Headgear (cap/hat)
• Sunscreen
• Bug Spray
• In case of Rain: plan accordingly

Toilets: There are at least 2-3 toilets along the way; however, they are located within the first 5 km of the hike. There are no toilets after that.

Stores: The SINOPEC gas station sells drinks and snacks and there is a public washroom at the 5 km point that also sells drinks.
