More on Self-love:

  • Stress and anxiety are common experiences caused by various factors. Mindfulness involves being present without judgment, fostering clarity and inner peace. Self-love means accepting and caring for oneself, leading to peace and resilience. Mindfulness and self-love are interconnected and complementary practices that can help people manage stress and anxiety in a healthy and effective way. Find a health and wellness group near you.

Top Q&A Questions and Resources:

  • Can Rosie share more about self-compassion, self-love, and self-forgiveness?
    • Practicing self-compassion and self-awareness is incredibly challenging, but it’s attainable. I’ve dedicated two chapters towards the end of my book to delve into this topic. The last two chapters, provide a deep understanding of the importance of self-compassion. We often ask others how they’re doing throughout the day, but how often do we sit and genuinely ask ourselves, “How am I today?” I firmly believe that operating from a place of self-awareness and self-compassion should be our priority.
  • I deal with a lot of chronic pain when I do the body scan, do you have any suggestions about dealing with that?
    • Mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) is a practice that focuses on reducing stress. It involves techniques that bring attention to the source of pain or hurt. It can be challenging, so I suggest trying it with an experienced practitioner who has been doing it for a long time.
  • How would you suggest staying present in mindfulness? I have it as a practice but I want to be more present in activities.
    • In my opinion, mindfulness is an ongoing experience that unfolds moment by moment. The key is to set the intention to be present, although it can be quite challenging. We can all agree on the difficulty of fully immersing ourselves in the present moment amidst the constant distractions. To address this, I recommend practicing some of the tips I shared in the slides.
